Wine retail freed up in Maharashtra
In
a landmark move, the Maharashtra Government has freed up the retailing
of wine with immediate effect. Supermarkets and grocery stores are now
allowed to sell wine and this move will hugely boost wine sales in the
state. It’s significant to note that no wine retail license has been
issued in the state for the past 30 years and suddenly thousands of new
retail outlets are expected to start selling wine in the next few
months. Click here to read TOI’s take on the announcement.

Guaranteed fresh!
Out with the cork, and in with the Stelvin screwcap! Sula joins
the ranks of other progressive wine makers from New Zealand and
Australia in switching over from cork to a better option for its fresh,
fruity whites. Screwcaps will transform the wine experience offering a
friendly, quick and simple opening alternative. In addition, it will
also allow the bottle to be resealed ensuring that the wine remains
fresher for longer. Screwcaps mean, no more crumbling corks and the
bottles can now be stored upright. Our Sauvignon Blanc 2006 is our first
release with Stelvin, and our Blush Zin, Chenin Blanc and Red Zin will
soon follow. That’s guaranteed freshness!
