The Wine Bar Series Part I – The Tasting Room at Good Earth
Now you don’t have to visit Europe to walk into a bar dedicated
solely to the fruits of Bacchus. Mumbai sets the trend for wine lovers
to swirl, sniff, sip and and enjoy a fine glass or two of wine.
Arguably India’s first wine bar is the wonderful Tasting Room at Good Earth, Raghuvanshi Mills in Lower Parel.
What better place to relax with a Chardonnay during an afternoon
of frenetic shopping, or enjoy a romantic dinner with a ruby-red
Cabernet in the intimate bistro ambience. Restaurateur Riyaaz Amlani
pairs his fabulous menu with Good Earth owner Simran Lal’s unmatchable
design sense! Our CEO Rajeev Samant is a frequent lunchtime lingerer at
the Tasting Room, which is a stone’s throw from the Sula office!

An Indian Feast in the Desert of Dubai
Rising up from the desert sand dunes like a mirage is Jumeirah
Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Spa, an elegant retreat in a luxurious
Arabic setting spelling spendour, tradition and comfort. Home to
many exotic restaurants, the resort hosted a world food festival in the
last week of September. Masala, located in the heart of the hotel
serves up terrific Indian food in an ambience of traditional Indian
music. This Indian restaurant hosted Magic Masala with award
winning Chef Cyrus Todiwala’s traditional Parsee delicacies specially
paired with Sula wines. Our CEO, Rajeev Samant, mingled with the guests
and enjoyed the balmy evening with the beautiful blend of traditional
Parsee and West coast food and modern Indian wine coming
together. The next time you visit Dubai escape the bustling
city for this oasis of pure magic!
