Musical Musings - Sulafest 2011 Rocked!

Saturday February 5 was a gorgeous day, and all roads led to Nashik for SULAFEST.  And it rocked! Thousands of music and wine fans had a day to remember at our vineyards. The response was so overwhelming that we’ve decided to do a two-day fest from next year..isn’t that great news!  :-) Check out the pix

Don’t take our word for it though, check out what Mumbai’s favourite blogger MissMalini had to say on her site! http://www.missmalini.com/2011/02/27/sula-fest-2011-the-party-continues/
New York Musings – Sula Director Hank Uberoi makes the cover of Wine Spectator!

Hank Uberoi – A collector of fine wine since 1996 and one of Sula’s directors boasts a cellar that is a cause of envy to many a wine aficionado the world over!  Hank’s sprawling 450 square foot cellar is home to 5,000 bottles of the world’s finest Bordeaux and Burgundy with another 11,500 bottles maturing in long term storage. Hank’s passion for wine and his cellar have earned him a spot on the cover page of the Wine Spectator.  The sheer size of his cellar speaks volumes of his passion and can provide decades of drinking pleasure.  He begins all gatherings with friends by serving Vintage Champagne in his cellar and ends it with a luscious dessert wine in this pristine space.  Hank believes that “bigger is better” and aspires to create even larger repositories for his liquid treasures.    Peek into his awesome collection (http://www.winespectator.com/issue/show/date/2010-11-30) Rajeev Samant, our CEO, reminisces about an amazing dinner that Hank hosted at Daniel, the legendary New York restaurant of chef Daniel Boulud. “Now that was a meal to remember! An unbelievable 7-course meal paired with amazing wines picked by Hank and sommelier Raj Vaidya. And the highlight was Chef Daniel Boulud coming out to chat with us and the other guests – a real pleasure! And guess what came out of it – Sula Chenin Blanc is now on the list at this legendary 3-star Michelin jewel!”
Literary Musings - Sula in the Pink City of Jaipur

As part of our commitment to supporting the arts, Sula was once again associated with the latest edition of the DSC Jaipur Literature Festival, which has become an unmissable fixture for the world’s literati.  The festival which saw over thirty thousand visitors this year brought together writers and artists from across continents, cultures, forms and genres.  Some of the better known names in the literary world were seen sipping some Sula including Vikram Seth, Irvine Welsh and Jay McInerney.   Having grown by leaps and bounds since inception, the fest allows visitors a unique opportunity to interact socially with writers during the relaxed evening concerts after the hectic daylong sessions. The Sula tasting bar was the favourite evening spot and popped up as a subject of discussion among the many authors, speakers and delegates.  Read on about the festival and the writers
