Sula CEO Rajeev Samant is TIME’s chosen face of “brash, messy and sexy” Bombay in its recent cover story on booming India. Totally cool- check it out! Calling Toronto Sula’s latest port of call is bustling, cosmopolitan Toronto. Our importers, Churchill Cellars, hosted a Bollywood themed bash at Debu’s Biryani House to launch Sula. The launch saw a great Toronto crowd enjoy our wines and we received glowing reviews from Canada’s wine critics. The soiree saw the Consul General and Vice-Consul General of India toasting Sula to some “dhinchak “ Bollywood beats. Sula at TiECON East in Boston! The largest technology conference on the East Coast of the US invited Sula founder Rajeev Samant to come and tell his inspirational story to a blue chip audience of tech entrepreneurs. TiECON EAST 2006: “Innovating in a Flat World” conference took place in Boston in June and Rajeev was on the speaker list that included luminaries such as Kofi Annan, McKinsey’s Rajat Gupta, C.K. Prahalad from U. of Michigan and Kellogg’s Mohanbir Sawhney. Rajeev spoke about his experience in setting up Sula as an allegory of the India story for the past decade and the boundless optimism in the country today.
