Just opposite the waste of space known as Atria Mall, is a bar that uses its area far more wisely. Vinoteca, opened by Sula Vineyards, keeps its focus on wine with a fine selection from Sula as well as internationally renowned producers. The extensive wine list is complemented by tapas and pinxtos that are simple, yet imaginatively created by Chef Silvia Grimaldo, who has mastered her skills at her family’s traditional restaurant in Spain.
Designed by Ritu Nanda and Elsie Nanji, Vinoteca is sophisticated, trendy and already playing host to designer-toting, sangria-sipping hipsters. The focal element of the bar, however, is the wine bottle chandelier above it crafted from over 300 Sula Riesling bottles.
The music is progressive and personally selected by Sula CEO and music aficionado Rajeev Samant himself. The playlist moves from easy jazz in the afternoons to 60’s rock standards early evening and upbeat electronica as the night moves on.
Vinoteca is great for a laid back afternoon or a night out that’s not too hectic. What’s even better is that this sun won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
