The leading wine producer, Sula Vineyards’s recently launched red wine – Rasa
Shiraz 2007, has won a silver medal at the recent prestigious Syrah Du Monde competition.
Syrah Du Monde is an international competition for recognising the world’s best Syrah/
Shiraz wines by awarding them reliable and representative medals each year.
In domestic market, Sula has acquired over 50 percent market share, with a sale of 260,000 cases in FY 10. In Q1 results of the current financial year, Sula has widened its lead further with over 55 percent market share in domestic market. In specific markets such as Delhi, Sula now has over 70 percent market share.
The company’s import distribution business has also been considerably boosted by the recent tie-up with Remy Cointreau, one of the world’s greatest luxury spirit producers. The company expects to sell 350,000 cases in the current financial year, mostly in the premium wine segment.
